Ok....here goes......continued....
Sunday morning, we got up and went to Church with Arlan (Dar's son) and enjoyed the youth's testimony from their retreat. After church, we went to a Mexican restaurant and, not only had a good meal but we had a good time of fellowship and visiting. After our meal, we headed north.
We travel for about 6 and 1/2 hours (some rain off and on) and arrived at my sister's house at around 7pm in Bucoda, WA. My sister was glad to see us.....it has been a year since we were together. We caught up with each other and talked and talked. We had a good night of sleep except for the occasional train coming by and blowing their whistle. The RV was 30 yds from the track.
On Monday, May 6th, we got up and visited some more. We decided to clean up in m
y sister's home and hooked up the car and got ready to leave. We left Bucoda (around 1pm) and headed further north to Duvall, WA to visit our good friends, Bobby and Sharon Twiggs. We arrived at 4pm, again with raining off and on. A couple of times during the trip, I noticed a definite loss of power in the RV. A couple of hills were difficult to go up with cars honding and a couple giving me the one-finger salute as they passed. On well, we made it OK. I will replace the fuel filter in case we bought some bad gas. I also purchased an air filter just to be safe. After we parked the RV and hooked up the electricity, we went in and enjoyed some good food and some good times of catching up where we left off. Bobby, Sharon and us have shared some good times together, even shared 9/11 as we were here in Duvall when it happened. Tonight, the rains and winds hit. The sleeping wasn't so good as the wind and rain interrupted our sleep several times during the night.
Tuesday morning, Bobby and I got up and walked 2 and 1/2 miles.....in the rain. The people in the Northwest doesn't let the rain stop them doing what they want to do. We decided to go to the tulip festival in LaConner, WA. The festival finished on Sunday and we thought the fields would still show some tulips. For those who have not seen these tulip fields....there are acres and acres of tulips......one field of 50 acres with just white tulip, another large field with yellow tulips and so on. They have so many tulip and they are so well known, they even send them to Holland! Well, we didn't see any of the fields full, they had already dug the bulbs up ready to be shipped all 
over the world. There were a couple of fields of daffodils that we got to see. We found a farm that still had some of the flowerbeds with many different colors and types of tulips. We had a good time of wandering around the flowerbeds and looking at the tulips. Here are a bunch of the different types of tulips....Enjoy!
On the way home from the tulip experience, Bobby had a "lead" foot and they got him....we always have a new "experience" when we are with Bobby and Sharon. :-)
We arrived home and had another great meal. We then had a good game of Mexican dominoes. Good game and I won.....great game. :-). OK, another night of rain.....but a gentle rain that helped us sleep.
Next day, Wednesday, Bobby and I walked again - 3.2 miles - again in the rain. We decided to go sopping for a play pen......why, you ask? Well, we need something to put our girls in when we are in the house where we are. We went to a second hand store and found an old-fashioned baby play pen for the girls. After finding the playpen, Barbara found a fancy bowl. After our great purchases, we headed to the outlet center and bought a few more "fancy" kitchen things
we could not do without. Then we headed for lunch.....at the Snoqualmie Casino....the latest one in this area. We had a nice buffet and I put a dollar in a penny machine and lost it. Of course, all day, the rain had been falling. Rain, Rain Rain......OK, it is enough. We made it home and set the playpen up and put the girls in it. After they broke it in - peeing and pooping in it - they settleted into it and seem to not mind being penned up. Well, after a big lunch, we did not feel like eating much.....just a wrap but it was enough. I made some chai tea and we all had some. We settled in and watch some video honoring the former music minister of the Twiggs Church. Great music.
Well, we turned in early as we have a full day tomorrow. Will blog later.
