Tuesday, September 11,
Greetings to Bobby and Sharon on "our" 9/11.
Today, we all got up and started a little adventure. First we headed to the Summer Palace, via buses all the way....it took awhile. We saw a lot
of different types of transportation. The Summer Palace was beautiful.
We came in on the back side and had to climb steps, rocks, and trails to make it to the top of the small hill where the big temple stood.
Then back down on the front side to the
lake and the main area. It was serene and relaxing just walking along the covered promenade.
Steve and Susie had to leave early for a meeting. We left soon after and went to another shopping area but first we had a bite to eat. Probably, one of the best pizzas I have ever had....bacon, ham, sausage and cheese...just the right amount of each. After lunch, we headed yet to another
r shopping area. We picked up a few items and then headed home. Since we had a late lunch, we just snacked on fruit and grilled sandwiches. Then we watch a movie, Wild Hogs. Then to bed.
Wednesday, September 12
Our last day here. Ron, Barbara and I headed to pick up a couple of other things and go to an ATM to get money for our trip to the airport, etc. We were gone most of the morning and met Dalanda at home and headed for lunch. We had a great last lunch, Peking Duck, Beef and veggies, garlic snow peas, pumpkin bread and corn. After lunch, Barbara and I had a full body massage while Ron and Dalanda had a foot massage. It was great and set us up for the return trip home. Now, we have packed our bags and getting ready to head to the airport.
We had a wonderful visit with Ron and Dalanda. They are doing a wonderful work here in China. God will reward them for the sacrifices they have made for being here. There will be many people blessed because of their activities. We are proud and honored to have been with our friends and to see the fantastic job they are doing.
The next time you hear from us will be in California. Thanks for traveling with us.
Love and God Bless,
DAD and MOM
