Today, we packed and said our goodbyes to the people of the New Dawn learning center. It was bitter sweet. On one hand, we were sorry to leave them......we had developed a real friendship with the people. On the other hand, we were ready to get back to Beijing and continue with our adventure. We left around 10am and arrived at noon. We lugged our bags up 5 stories and then rested. Ron and I went downstairs to the local restaurant and good some very good Chinese food. We relaxed and rested in the afternoon. We left at 5pm and headed to the Happy Hour. The International Church furnishes snack and soda at a local Italian restaurant and many Chinese show up to have a good time. We just sit and talk and build relationships. It was a lot of fun and very interesting. This give you a lot of opportunities to share your life and your "joy" with them. We arrived home around 10pm and got ready to retire. Then a couple showed, we thought they were coming on Saturday, and we sat and talked. This couple, an American man and his Chinese wife, does the same type of work that Ron and Dalanda do but in central China.
Saturday, September 8
We slept in this morning and relaxed until noon. We were going to meet Ron for lunch but he had gone to a meeting and the meeting went long. We ended up going without him. The food was good. After lunch, we needed to do a little personal shopping so we headed to the "mall". We got our shopping done and met Ron for dinner at McDonalds.......it was quick but not up to the standards of our meals. Next, we went with Ron to his meeting and listened to his briefings. We enjoyed meeting his people and visiting with them. Back home now and ready to get some rest for tomorrow.
No pictures today as I am using Ron's computer and my pictures are on mine....tech issues. Here is Ron's final poem......
A praising prayer
I sat to today and began to pray
my heart being grieved by what I;d say
Help me Jesus with this and that
forgetting to praise Him for where I'm at.
Praising God in the midst of my trial
Makes it last for only a little while.
Praise should begin in my very thought
Glory to God, He killed me not.
He sent His son Jesus to die for me,
are our only thoughts of what of what he can do for thee.
I want to remember Him this day
let every word be filled with praise.
He's looking for the spotless bride,
lets get on board for this next ride.
Let your mouth begin to be filled.
For the God who gave and His Son was killed.
So let the praise begin to bubble out
Don't look long faced and sit and pout.
It wont be long till He says enter in
So be filled with praise and lets begin.
